Ashtānga Yoga is practiced six days a week, usually Sunday to Friday, taking rest on Saturdays and MOON DAYS. My detailed schedule is shown below.

‘Beginners should attend Mysore-style’ classes where one traditionally learns this practice (Mysore is the city in India where the Ashtanga Yoga Institute is and where R.Sharath Jois teaches). ‘Mysore-style’ is self-practice and the poses are given one-by- one by the teacher until the student reaches a pose that is challenging for them where they might stay for a while. The ordering of the sequence to systematically unlock the body and the personal relationship with the teacher keeps the practice safe. Students receive much individual attention and adjustment from the teacher and this relationship is central to the practice.

Led Classes are for students who already have an established Ashtanga Yoga practice. You are expected to stop at the last pose in the primary series that you have been given and proceed to the closing sequence.
