The Active Series is a set sequence that takes between 60 and 75 minutes to do. It is suitable for all ages and abilities, an invaluable gift that Sharathji left us in November 2024. It may look simple, but it is quite profound. Not only does it help you become balanced, strong and flexible in mind and body, it challenges seasoned practitioners to approach their Ashtanga practice differently. It is not merely a modified sequence of simpler poses: it is a brilliant distillation of the Ashtanga lineage, and uniquely, it is the only series where practitioners of every level can safely practice side by side in a guided led class setting – allowing beginners to build clear foundations while experienced practitioners immerse themselves in Sharathji’s love and energy.
